There is a war going on,
a war in the Amazon jungle, conduced by powerful
loggers, farmers and companies that profit from
the immense social and economic problems faced
in Pará state, the frontier of destruction
in the Brazilian Amazon. This war is not only
against the forest, it is also a war against the
traditional communities and indigenous people
who make their home in the Amazon. If this war
on the Amazon is not stopped, Brazil may loose
the opportunity to create a pathway to a sustainable
future for the people and the forest.
